Banana and Date Super Shake

When you’re on the minutes, with a little munchkin who won’t stand for too much time looking after yourself thank you very much,  meals need to be quick, easy and nutritious. Not only to prepare, but to eat too! So I’ve been experimenting with different types of breakfast smoothie for quite a while, and at the moment this is my absolute favourite. It tastes like such an indulgent treat, is super filling and contains plenty of fibre, plant protein , iron and antioxidants.Banana and Date super shakeIngredients

  • 2 bananas
  • 3 Medjool dates
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter
  • 1 pint almond milk
  • 1 heaped desert spoon raw cacao powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon matcha green tea powder

Whizz it all together in a blender.. And enjoy!

    I do a similar version of this smoothie, but just without the matcha :) Looks great!

      It’s so delicious and creamy! The matcha powder gives it a little extra kick to keep me going for longer.. does turn it a slightly green shade though so it doesn’t look quite as appetising!
