A new use for an old boot

Munchkin loves being out in the garden, and I feel so lucky that summer is here and we have the time to spend enjoying it. ?

The other day we started a new little project to add some colour very simply using bedding plants and some fabulous vintage collanders that I got from Lily Maud Vintage.

I love the contrast of the yellow marigolds next to the old blue collanders! Whilst I was out planting I noticed my old walking boots, which are now leaking, making the place look untidy…

So I added a petunia to each! From rubbish to garden feature… And as they leak, the drainage should be fine! Can I get away with it?!

Oh my, this is so lovely!!! I did that once with rain boots that were leaking. Brilliant idea, I wish I had a garden… One day I will :) Right now I’m just spending my afternoons on the balcony 😀

It is wonderful to have a garden, I really appreciate it! A balcony is lovely too though, and if you’re gardening with pots then you can change them with the seasons! :-)
