This week has just flown by – it has been a bit of a strange one really, but I have realised even more than I had already how lucky I am to have my wonderful little family.
Blogs galore! I’ve joined in with some linkups on my last few posts, and one of the best things about linkups is finding and talking to other bloggers. My favourite post this week was Emma’s Mamma’s post ’17 months’. Whilst part of me wishes time to stand still and my little boy stay little forever, Emma’s Mamma’s post made me laugh out loud and look forward to the future with Frey, when he will be talking and toddling around. There are so many fun times to come.
We don’t usually get chance to watch much television, but a while ago we treated ourselves to the Harry Potter box set, and have been working our way through. We have recently finished the last film, and I’ve really enjoyed watching them all again, it’s a fantastic story, and so easy to get completely lost in, even if you’ve seen them all before and know what’s coming!
Red apples on a cloth bum – is there much in life cuter than red apples on a cloth bum?! Although Rob thinks they are tomatoes.. I’m not sure which of us is right. Either way they’re adorable!
The Sparkle Nest Show was performing again this week when Madonna’s ‘Like a Prayer’ came on – what else is there to do but stop whatever you’re up to and dance? Rob and I danced around the kitchen, whilst munchkin watched us from his bouncer – looking a bit stunned…
Juice, juice and more juice. Well not really – because I have been juicing for only a day and a half as I write this, so I must have made other foods earlier in the week, but it feels as though I haven’t eaten solid foods in like forever. I may be exaggerating a little. After my 5 day juice diet, I decided to attempt to juice for just two days a week, using Jason Vale’s 5:2 juice recipes. The principle of the 5:2 diet is that you eat very few calories for two days of each week, and this plan consists of juice recipes to make up that small number of calories. I’m not finding it very easy! I found the 5 day juice plan much easier as it included creamy smoothies. Now I’m just hungry.
We went to visit the local nursery this week. Sending Frey off to nursery isn’t something I’m looking forward to, but I changed my mind a little after visiting, it looks fantastic. The children were making mud pies topped with shaving foam, they adopt orphaned lambs for the children to bottle feed, and they even have pet donkeys! It’s such a good nursery it has a waiting list. Now where did I put that form…?
