I came across this quote a few weeks ago, and it really spoke to me. Such powerful words, a powerful thought, and, of course, an impossibility. You can never see the world through the eyes of another, you can never walk a mile in someone else’s shoes.
Wouldn’t it be great if you could? Wouldn’t it be easier to understand why people do what they do, feel the way they feel, to be empathetic. It’s so easy to judge people, to judge another person’s situation, but you never really know the full reasons behind anything. And that can be very frustrating!
When I found this quote I wanted to send it to everyone in my life. I didn’t of course, but today I’m going to post it here, and I’m going to try instead to bear it in mind whenever I deal with another person, to try to be more empathetic. And hope in turn, that others are more empathetic towards me.
