I discovered Mells when I first moved here five years ago, and it’s always been one of my favourite places to visit. There’s a lovely village shop and cafe, miles of walks along the riverside amongst scenery that always feels a little bit magical, and an absolutely beautiful walled garden. We’ve been to the walled garden for lunch twice in the past two weeks. The weather this week has been so warm and humid, and it’s amazing to see how many more flowers have bloomed in the space of a week. I think we’re going to have to keep visiting throughout the summer to watch how the garden changes…
Brunch in the sunshine..
The Walled Garden is more than just a pretty place to eat lunch, there are oodles of home grown plants for sale, vintage and up cycled furniture, and they also do wedding flowers.. posies were being made up for a wedding yesterday morning, and I couldn’t get over how beautiful they looked..
The garden also puts on willow craft workshops, gardening and floristry classes, and you can even hire the garden for an evening event with pizza from their own wood fired pizza oven. I’d like to do it all please!
You can find out more about the garden at http://thewalledgardenatmells.co.uk/
I hope you’re having a beautiful weekend x
