This time last year, when I was on maternity leave with my tiny little bundle of a baby boy, one of the things we did the most was go out for walks. We are so incredibly lucky to live in a beautiful part of the world, and I could just wrap Frey up in his sling, grab Bill’s lead, and set off for some amazing walks. I never took those times for granted, but long walks in the woods are just something we don’t do so much of any more, until today, when we got out and saw that the countryside has definitely woken up for spring.. it was so green, and fragrant.. and just magical…
Wild garlic lining the paths…
I think the fairies definitely play around this tree.. but what happened to the eggs?
Spotting deer tracks..
So green and lush..
Watching the rain fall on the lake from a sheltered spot under the trees. Bill didn’t mind getting wet!
The treat of stumbling across an azalea luteum, the fragrance was just beautiful.
The last of this year’s bluebells.. and the foxgloves that are on their way. Summer is coming!
And the sounds. Aside from the rain on the water, this little person, who turned a whole 15 months old today, had a wonderful time being carried on his Daddy’s back. He didn’t stop chattering away for the whole walk! Happy 15 months baby boy x
