Last week, Frey and I went for a little drive out in the countryside, and came across a walled garden, not far away from us at all. I love stumbling across treasures like this, especially when they’re so close to home and I didn’t realise they existed!
Pythouse Walled Garden is a kitchen garden, cafe and farm shop near to Tisbury in Wiltshire. I popped Frey into his sling and we went in to explore..
Old garden machinery nestled amongst lavender plants, and a beautiful kitchen garden. Everything grown in the garden is available to purchase in the shop and is used on the menu in the cafe. At this time of year everything was just coming up into bloom.. I think this is going to be a very exciting place to visit as the season progresses!
When in season, you can also pick your own strawberries, raspberries, gooseberries – and most exciting of all, cut flowers.
The lupins were just stunning – I love lupins, and for some reason none of my lupins have come back in my own garden this year, so it was lovely to see so many looking so happy!
A lovely place for a little afternoon wander! Next time we may have to treat ourselves to coffee and cake in the cafe too!
I’ve been pretty quiet recently here on the blog, but that’s because I’ve been working so hard on something very exciting, which I hope to be able to reveal very soon! I’ve also become a little obsessed with flowers, which is why I found the idea of a pick your own cut flower bed so wonderful. If you pop over and follow me on Instagram I’ve been posting daily images of my treasures, along with clues as to what I’ve been working on! Don’t forget that my giveaway for a copy of ‘3D Art Adventures’ is still running, until the end of next week. Come and enter here.
I hope you all have a lovely sunny weekend x
