If you follow me on Instagram, then you’ll know that I have a bit of a thing for fresh cut flowers. I can’t get enough of them. This summer I’ve been gathering roses and wildflowers from the garden, buying posies from markets, drying rose petals and larkspur.. I’ve enjoyed it so much.
Now that the long hot summer that we’ve had is drawing to a close, it’s becoming more difficult to gather flowers from the garden each day, so I was so pleased to discover Grace and Bloom, which is a subscription blooms box, where a box of freshly picked blooms arrives through your letter box once a month. That’s what I call happy mail!
Grace and Bloom is run by Kate, who is a stay at home Mum of two, Harry and Grace. Earlier this year, when Grace was 10 months old, she became very unwell when she went into respiratory arrest and quickly ended up in an induced coma on life support. I can’t imagine how terrifying that must have been. Thankfully, Grace is a fighter and Kate says she is improving every day. However this made Kate look at her life and work, and inspired her to set up a home business influenced by her own love of flowers and floristry, and Grace and Bloom was born!
When you sign up for a Blooms Box subscription, each month you will receive a different fresh flower bouquet for yourself or for a loved one to enjoy. I started with the August box, which arrived at the end of last month.
As you can see, the flowers are very cleverly, and beautifully packed into a flat box which fits through your letterbox, so you don’t have to worry about staying in for a courier delivery.
They’re packed with cellophane and ribbon, with a gift card if you’re sending them as a treat for someone else, so it’s just like unwrapping a present!
You an order a one off delivery, or a 3 month or 6 month subscription, and prices start from £17.49. I’ve gone for a six month subscription, and I’m so excited that I’ll be receiving a beautiful blooms box each month throughout the winter, to cheer up the gloomier days!
I’m looking forward to sharing my Blooms Box with you each month, come and join me on Instagram where I post almost daily images, many of them featuring flowers!
