Magical Christmas Gift Guide for Toddlers

Someone recently said to me that up until a child is around 7 years old, everything in their world is magical and exciting. Now my eldest is nearly three, I can certainly see this is true and Frey’s imagination is just amazing. Plus he was so excited on his brother’s birthday recently to see the balloons and presents, so I can’t wait to see what he’s like on Christmas morning! (Or if he’ll be able to go to sleep on Christmas Eve!)

With this childhood magic in mind, I had a browse of Etsy to look for some Christmas gifts to help fuel your toddler’s imagination and wonder at the world.. here are some of the goodies that I found..

Dragon Wings and Tail

Dragon Wings and Tail

£36

I’ve mentioned before that one of our favourite things to do is go on woodland walks. Recently, out of nowhere, Frey has started to ask to ‘go and find the dragon!’. According to Frey, the dragon lives in his den in the woods. The dragon’s name is Big Fire. His Dad has even made him and his brother little wooden swords each for their dragon hunting adventures! However, so far, we have been unable to find Big Fire, he’s always asleep in his den whenever we happen to look for him. I think with these dragon wings and tail he might be more likely to come out to say hello!

Wooden Moon

Wooden Moon

£22.00

Another magical development in Frey’s life recently was the change of the clocks, and the fact that I now pick him up from nursery in the dark. And if we’re very lucky, and it’s a clear night, we can see the MOON! This is incredibly exciting for him. One evening recently we left nursery to a cloudy sky, but somewhere on the short journey home the clouds cleared and the moon became visible. Frey noticed this first and shouted excitedly, ‘Mama! I can see the moon!’

Be Wild Shirt

Play Outside. Get Dirty. Be Wild. Be Free.

£11.99

This shirt sums up my boys perfectly! In the summer Alfred used to sit happily on a blanket in the garden and watch his big brother run around. Now he’s one he is intent on joining in, and gets absolutely covered in mud. I love a baby with a muddy face! (It’s a shame neither of my boys are a fan of the bath though…!)

Fairy Garden Kit

Fairy Garden Kit

£13.99

We recently went to visit Mountain View Ranch which is just outside of Cardiff. It has the most amazing fairy woodland, and Frey absolutely loved searching for fairies! I’d love to recreate fairy land in our own garden and I think this kit is just beautiful.

Personalised Wooden Stacking pebbles

Personalised Wooden Stacking Pebbles

£38

I think this would be more of a gift for me, I’ve loved these wooden pebbles ever since Frey was a baby and I’d love to see what his imagination would create with them! I’m thinking he will say he’s being ‘Like Makka Paka’ – but I’m sure he will surprise me!

Magic Door Adventure

Magic Door Adventure

£16.99

I love personalised books! Especially since my eldest son has quite an unusual name, so I love to find him presents that can be personalised. I remember having a personalised Christmas book when I was little and I loved it! This one can be made tailored to your child, you can even choose the character that looks most like them.

Personalised Story Stones

Space Story Stones

£12

I love the magic and possibility around story stones. These are by Tiny Tortle and they have lots of different sets available, to stretch parent’s imaginations too!

Adventure Awaits Baby Bedding

£62.59

And so to bed.. for a good rest ahead of another day full of magical toddler adventures!
